The Clubroom

This room is for the sole use of members and is available to members during all club times. There is a notice board in the Clubroom - keep an eye on it for vital club information, competitions, LTA news and so on. All club fixtures are displayed in the window of the Clubroom facing the courts.

Padlock Keys

Keys are issued to all adult club members and juniors who are members in their own right, subject to payment of a £5 refundable deposit.  Please ensure that you have this key with you at all times when you wish to play as it is necessary for the courts to be unlocked AND locked by the first and last players.  It appears that the recently-instigated security system is working to reduce the vandalism we have experienced in the past, and it is essential that members adhere to this locking procedure.

Visitors

Members may bring non-members to the club at any time. The club member is responsible for payment of the visitor‘s fee (£2) and their compliance with club regulations. The £2 fee can be given to any committee member or can be ‘posted’ through the letter box on the Club room door. A visitor may play at the club a maximum of four times, after which time they are expected to become a member.

Internal Competitions

The club championships generally take place throughout the summer

Details will be posted in clubhouse in due course.

League Tennis

We have teams entered into the Hereford and Worcester Leagues- both in winter and summer - in the summer leagues three courts are used and two courts used in winter. Members are advised to check the Clubroom window for home fixtures so they know in advance when the courts will be in use.

If you would like to be considered for a team, please contact the relevant team captain.

Etiquette

The club does not have a strict dress code but proper non marking tennis or training shoes should be worn on court. Trainers with black soles or deeply ridged soles MUST NOT be worn as they will mark and/or damage the court surfaces.

When entering the courts to play, please give consideration to those already playing and wait until the end of a point before walking along the back of the courts.

On leaving the courts, the players are responsible for the net being lowered and personal possessions/litter removed. The gate must be locked when leaving the courts empty.

Floodlights and Access to the Club Room

Floodlights are available for use on all three courts and cost £1 for around 30 minutes. If you need to use the lights or the internal facilities when a Committee member is not present then a key can be cut for you see above. Access to the Clubroom will only be possible when a Committee member is present.

County Sports Discount

A 10% reduction in the cost of sports equipment is offered on production of this letter at County Sports in Hagley.
